In collaboration with the DNV’s Cleaner Energy and Utilities unit the knowledge management team has secured a three year contract from the European Commission to support a network of 12 demonstration projects in CCS.

In collaboration with the DNV’s Cleaner Energy and Utilities unit the knowledge management team has secured a three year contract from the European Commission to support a network of 12 demonstration projects in CCS.

Our work will draw upon our experiences in two previous EC sponsored project networks that provided similar knowledge management services.

Knowledge management tasks

Whilst our CCS experts in DNV Energy will provide domain specific knowledge, our team will:

• Support and co-ordinate networking through the design and facilitation of annual knowledge markets to broker contacts between network members. These are informal yet structured events that have been highly successful elsewhere, particularly during our project at Sellafield

• Promote and facilitate a lessons learned program for the network members

• Create and facilitate best practice sharing processes and workshops

• Co-ordinate and facilitate sharing events that emanate from the themes identified in the knowledge markets.

• Create a secure community platform for the EC and project members to hold discussion fora and provide a content management platform. We plan to use software with the functionality of contemporary Web 2.0 tools such as those used successfully in our Sellafield and Eurocontrol projects amongst others

• Host and maintain an Internet web site for increased public awareness of CCS and for the dissemination of project results

• Lead on the establishment of an internal and external brand for the network drawing on our experience in branding two previous project networks for the EC
