DNV has a 24,000 square foot full-service corrosion and materials laboratory in Dublin, Ohio providing research, testing and failure analysis services. Facilities include a wide range and volume of electrochemical and mechanical instrumentation, autoclaves for high pressure and temperature exposure, flow testing facilities, safety systems for H2S (and other poisonous gas) exposures, microscopy, and analytical measurement capabilities.

Multiphase Flow Corrosion System
The Multiphase Flow and Corrosion System (MFCS) at DNV Columbus in Dublin, Ohio, is a large-scale pilot plant test facility for multiphase flow and corrosion studies. Operating conditions include:
• Pressure: up to 10 bars
• Temperature: up to 130° C
• Superficial Gas Velocity: 0 to 25 m/s
• Superficial Liquid Velocity: 0 to 5 m/s
• Liquid Viscosity Range: 0.5 to 300 cP

Capabilities include:
• Inclinable 10 cm (4 inch) diameter, 36 m long, 316L
• Stainless steel flow loop with test section for inserting corrosion probes
• Low shear progressive cavity pumps for gas and liquid circulation
• Easily changed from stainless steel to Plexiglass pipes
• A transparent pipe section for visual observation up to 10 bars and 150° C
