Members of the pipeline industry from around the world will be meeting next month at the eighth International Pipeline Conference (IPC2010), to be held Sept. 27-Oct. 1 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Conference is recognized internationally as the world’s premier pipeline conference with an expected attendance of about 1400 delegates from over 40 countries.

The theme for this year’s conference is "Pipelines in a Changing World". The Conference will open on Sept. 27 with 18 tutorials in key areas of interest to pipeline professionals and two panel sessions. The conference’s technical sessions will commence the following day, and will be grouped into 14 technical tracks.

DNV’s has had a strong presence in past Conferences and that level of participation will be evident again this year. DNV personnel are leading three tutorials (Offshore Pipeline Design, Fracture Mechanics, Stress Corrosion Cracking), leading the CO2 Pipeline Panel, participating in the Panel on Seam Weld Anomaly Inline Inspection, chairing 6 sessions and presenting 13 papers. In addition DNV is represented on the IPC Foundation Board, the IPC Organizing Committee and the IPC Technical Program Committee.
