The partnership between DNV and EFQM is aimed at promoting responsible corporate citizenship through effective use of leading edge management practices.
The partnership is based on a recognition that the two organisations share similar goals and that their resources and competencies are complementary.
Promoting good business pracices
DNV and EFQM are both independent network-based foundations with a global reach. Both aim at changing managerial behaviour while promoting good business practices, taking into account social, economic and environmental issues. DNV’s objectives are to safeguard life, property and the environment and to be a leading international provider of services for managing risk. EFQM helps organisations improve through a range of validated management practices, including structured assessment using the EFQM Excellence Model and shared good practices. Based on these shared interests and beliefs, DNV and EFQM have agreed to develop a strategic partnership.
There are over 30,000 organisations who use the EFQM Excellence Model to improve their business. The EFQM Excellence Model is reviewed and developed to meet industry needs as well as incorporate the latest management trends. DNV will contribute by working with EFQM to develop a framework on risk management based on the EFQM Excellence Model. DNV is a leading international provider of services for managing risk.
A process of collaboration
“DNV and EFQM agree to embark on a process of collaboration. The quality of that collaboration shall be followed up by an annual review meeting between the executive management of DNV and EFQM. The process shall be characterised by high quality and pragmatism,” states the MOU signed by EFQM and DNV in Paris in 2004.
