DNV Safety Excellence (SafeX) is a consultancy service aiming at safety improvements also beyond what regulation covers. Major safety-initiatives in shipping have been technical, regulations, management systems, and competence requirements. SafeX focuses on all elements and the main focus area being how they interact. To do so, we go through the whole organisation ashore and onboard. This is done through workshops, questionnaires (ref. DNV Insight) and interviews. We work in three phases: improvement identification, solution development and implementation.
