Quality in all aspects of operations, no compromise on safety issues and solutions for sustainable environmental operations are the key criteria for DNV Maritime’s operations. We have a strong technology base with some 75 per cent of our employees holding a PhD, Master or Bachelor degree. Our investment in R&D amounts to some NOK 550 million each year.

In 2008 we secured 391 contracts (18,1 mill. GT). We have an orderbook of 1412 vessels corresponding to 62,8 mill. GT. We have an existing fleet of 5626 vessels (131,9 mill. GT) and a market share of 15,2% in GT. DNV is authorised to act on behalf of some 80 national maritime authorities.
